Youth

the youth of Trinity are active in worship, service and formation.

There are many opportunities for youth to grow as disciples of Jesus; as acolytes and readers on Sunday mornings, studying Scripture together in Sunday School, diving into discussion at youth group (EYC), preparing for Confirmation, enjoying weekend retreats, and getting involved with service projects.

EY-Seedlings is an opportunity for 4th and 5th graders to grow together in community and serves as a bridge between Godly Play and Rite-13. EY-Seedlings meet on the first Friday of every month (with a few exceptions) from 6:00pm - 8:00pm at Molly’s House, the youth ministry building located at 2119 Coliseum Street across from the chapel doors. Past activities include candle making, soap making, dog toy making (for Blessing of Animals), White Elephant Epiphany Party, rock painting, movies and pool party. Supper is always served and friends are always welcome.

5th grade is a transitional year, and in some schools, the beginning of Middle School. Your 5th grader may enjoy Junior EYC on Sundays with 6th and 7th graders and/or EY-Seedlings Fridays with 4th graders.

Junior EYC is for youth ready to play games and make new friends! This group meets once a month at Molly’s House, the youth building, at 2119 Coliseum Street. Arrival is 5:30 pm for dinner and departure is 7:30pm.

Rite-13 Sunday School
6th - 8th graders

The middle school years are often full of growth and change. Belonging to Sunday School is a wonderful opportunity to feel deeply rooted at church, prayed for, encouraged, and connected to peers from multiple schools. Twice a year, we recognize those who have celebrated their 13th birthdays and entered into their teenage years, during a church service. The Journey to Adulthood curriculum we use calls this special recognition and the class community, Rite-13.

Rite-13 meets Sundays from 10:15am - 11:15am in the Molly’s House youth building. The youth then join their families for Holy Eucharist in the church. Questions? Contact the Reverend Jane-Allison Wiggin-Nettles at .
