Each year, Trinity honors the memory of Miss Edith Bayne Aiken on Founder’s Day, which we celebrate on or near her birthday. Miss Aiken entrusted her “The Little School for Little Children,” founded in 1917, to Trinity in 1960, the origination of Trinity Episcopal School. On Monday, November 12, we thanked Miss Aiken for all that she created and entrusted to Trinity with a special Chapel.
We were honored to have Blake Haney '90 as our feautured Founder's Day speaker. Following his graduation from Trinity, Blake attended Jesuit High School and The University of the South. He biked across the country to raise money for charity and worked as a ranch hand in Texas before founding his first graphic design company, Whence: The Studio. At the same time, Blake started a group called New Breed New Orleans to help young professionals network. Currently, Blake runs three companies: The Canary Collective, a design and development studio; Dirty Coast, a clothier that specializes in local appeal; and HumidBeings, a publishing platform for and about New Orleanians. We were thrilled to have several members from the class of 1990 come back to Trinity for Founder's Day!
