Ashley has been at Trinity since 2015. She is responsible for the development and implementation of the vision, strategy and tactical elements for all programs, activities and educational aspects related to children and families. She provides education and support to children, parents and adult lay leaders to create opportunities for children and their families to engage more deeply in the worship, life, ministry and activities of the Trinity Church community. Ashley is specifically focused on supporting the spiritual development of children through a curriculum called Godly Play -- a Montessori approach of spiritual discovery for children through storytelling, the use of all natural materials and exposure to religious language. She is a Godly Play Missioner for the Godly Play Foundation and in the process of becoming a Godly Play trainer. Ashley leads weekly bible studies for moms and facilitates Living Compass wellness circles for groups both inside and outside the church. She is currently developing a new ministry that offers Godly Play to adults within adult care settings, including those living with dementia.
Ashley was born in Ipswich, England. She describes herself as a "Air Force Brat from nowhere with many years spent in Texas." She received her Bachelor of Arts in Religion from Austin College in Sherman, Texas and has previously worked as a Director of Marketing for a law firm. Ashley moved to New Orleans in 2002, where she lives with her husband, three daughters, two cats, and one dog. In her free time, Ashley enjoys walking the dog, reading, and spending time with friends.
