Godly Play Teacher Training (August 1–3) Join us for an intensive 18-hour spiritual growth experience designed to equip participants as Godly Play leaders. This hands-on training combines discovery learning with practical skill development in an atmosphere of prayer and play.
What You'll Experience:
- A full Godly Play session as an adult participant
- Practice presenting Sacred Stories, Parables, and Liturgical Action lessons
- Three major presentations on the Spirituality of Children, Sacred Space & Environment, and Supporting the Community of Children
- Small group work and personal reflection time
- The art of "wondering" with biblical stories
Who Should Attend:
- Those wanting to become fluent in Godly Play practice
- New and experienced volunteers seeking deeper understanding
- Program coordinators and religious education directors
- Anyone interested in children's spirituality and narrative-based faith formation
Training Approach: Following the same principles used with children, this training emphasizes experiential learning, community building, and creating sacred space. Participants will present stories without notes and receive supportive feedback in a circle of fellow learners.
No prior Godly Play experience required, though some familiarity is helpful. Come prepared for a transformative journey into the heart of how children encounter God through story, wonder, and play.
