Back to School Liturgy & Blessing of the Backpacks (August 24) celebrates the start of the school year during the 10:30am service with our annual Blessing of Backpacks & Bags. Children are encouraged to bring their personal backpacks to receive a special blessing and a keychain keepsake as a reminder that they are blessed and beloved.
After the service, students are invited to Bishop’s Hall for snacks and special activity stations:
- Wisdom Corner: Receive a blessing for wisdom and understanding
- Friendship Hub: Make friendship bracelets or take photos with friends
- Prayer Station: Create prayer ribbons for the church
- Service Station: Decorate lunch bags for our neighbors who are hungry
