Jesus and Paul: Visions of Transformation

Classes Adult Fellowship Lent

Jesus and Paul: Visions of Transformation (February 25–March 25)

Join the Rev. Lex Breckinridge for a Lenten series exploring the shared vision of transformation found in the teachings of Jesus and the Apostle Paul.

We’ll gather on Wednesday evenings from February 25 through March 25 in Bishops Hall. A simple dinner will be provided from 5:30–6:00pm (soup, salad, and bread), followed by the program at 6:00pm. Each evening will conclude with Compline at 7:00pm in the chapel.

Together, we’ll move beyond surface-level debates about right and wrong into a deeper way of seeing—one that holds tension and contradiction, embraces the “other” with compassion, and resists blame and division.

In this cultural moment of bitterness and polarization, Paul emerges not as a grim moralist, but as a visionary mystic. Shaped by his own transformative encounters with Christ, Paul points toward a way of life rooted in healing, mercy, and peace, and grounded in the belief that all are welcome in the body of Christ.

Through study, conversation, prayer, and worship, these evenings offer space to reflect on how a Christ-centered vision can shape our faith and shared life.

Participants are welcome to attend one session or several. This is not a cumulative series, and drop-ins are encouraged.
