The Alabama Choir School in Concert (March 21)
Based in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, The Alabama Choir School is a children’s and youth community choir program that will visit New Orleans as part of its spring tour.
The Ambassador Choir (grades 5–8) and Chamber Choir (grades 8–12) will present a free concert featuring choral music from a wide range of styles and time periods, both sacred and secular, including Gospel, Mozart, selections from musicals, works by female American composers, and even a sea shanty.
Artistic Director Leah Keyes Durham, an LSU graduate (MM ’08), looks forward to bringing her choirs to Louisiana.
