Crescent City Chamber Music Festival: Opening Night (October 15)
The Crescent City Chamber Music Festival opens at Trinity with Ensemble-in-Residence the Manhattan Chamber Players, joined by members of the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra.
The program features Benjamin Britten’s delightful and infectious Simple Symphony and his poignant Lachrymae, presented in its rarely performed full version for viola and strings. The evening concludes with Tchaikovsky’s soaring Serenade for Strings, led by frequent LPO guest conductor Joshua Gersen.
