Collection for Incarcerated Youth

Category: In the Local Community

Deadline: Easter Sunday, April 5

The Restorative Justice Committee is committed to doing what we can to support positive change in juvenile justice in our community. Currently, there are 76 children incarcerated at the Juvenile Justice Intervention Center, and they are in need of essential items.

As an Easter offering, we will be collecting donations to support them. Collection bins will be located just outside Bishops Hall. Please consider donating the following items:

  • Soft cover spiritual books, reading books, activity books and/or journals
  • Travel size hygiene products
  • Hair products (locking gel, edge control, deep conditioner)
  • Crayons
  • Board games (Sorry, Connect 4, Life, Checkers, Chess, Dominoes, Twister)
  • Playing cards (regular, UNO, Old Maid, go fish, Phase 10)
  • Puzzles
  • Sports equipment (footballs, basketballs, soccer balls, volleyballs)
  • Outdoor recreation games (horseshoes, bean bag toss, Frisbees)
  • Black socks, any length (socks must be black only)
  • Individually packaged candy and snacks

The boys report that the most important offering we make are cards. If you would like to send a card, please drop it in the bins (leave unsealed).
