Katie Darden
Katie Cordes Darden is a lifelong member of Trinity Episcopal Church and a graduate of Trinity Episcopal School. She and her husband, Frank, have two children currently attending Trinity in Pre-K and first grade. At Trinity Church, Katie is a member of the Flower Guild, WOTC, and is currently serving as a Confirmation Mentor.
Katie graduated from the University of Virginia with a B.A. in History. After working in Washington, D.C., she returned to New Orleans and earned her J.D. from Tulane Law School. Her law practice consists of special master work in multidistrict litigation. In New Orleans, Katie is a member of the Trinity Parents Group and supports fundraising efforts at the New Orleans Museum of Art, Audubon Nature Institute, and WYES, among other organizations. As a member of Trinity’s Vestry, Katie hopes to engage with young families in the church community.

Courtney Hall Murphy
Courtney found Trinity Church through evening chapel services as a Tulane Law student. She later married her husband, Spencer, in the chapel, and their children, Jane and Clayton, attended Trinity School, Church, and youth group. Courtney has taught Sunday school, served on WOTC, worked with rummage and bake sales, and served on the board of TEEP. She has also participated in ongoing adult education programs, including Enneagram workshops.
In her professional life, Courtney works as staff counsel for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. In the community, she has served on the board of KIPP Charter Schools and the Christian Women’s Exchange. She sees an exciting future for Trinity and would be honored to serve on the Vestry.

Mike Verderosa
Mike joined the Trinity community 21 years ago while a graduate student at Tulane. He is the broker/owner of Historic 504 Properties, a New Orleans–based real estate brokerage committed to the preservation of historic properties and culture, and has been among the top 1% of highest-producing real estate brokers in the nation for the last decade. He holds a master’s degree from the Tulane School of Architecture and has more recently completed post-graduate coursework in Real Estate Investment at Harvard.
In recent years, Mike has volunteered regularly with Trinity Loaves and Fishes (substitute Thursday food truck delivery driver and dishwasher extraordinaire), as an occasional adult acolyte, on the Board of Stewards, and as vice chair of the usher team. Within the last decade, he has also volunteered on the boards of five other local nonprofits: as vice president of the Algiers Point Association (two years; at-large and advisory board member for over a decade), the Algiers Neighborhood Presidents’ Council, Old Algiers Main Street, Friends of the Ferry, and Confetti Kids Parks and Playgrounds. As a prospective member of the Vestry, Mike hopes to expand his volunteer efforts to include assisting with the Buildings and Grounds Committee.

George Young
I’ve completed my second year as senior warden, having spent six months as ecclesiastical authority, and have agreed to remain in this role until a permanent rector is called. I also serve as chair of the Endowment Committee and participate regularly on the Buildings and Grounds and Finance Committees, as well as any other committee where my input is needed.
