Dear Friends:
Last weekend, your Vestry and Clergy went on a strategic planning retreat at The Solomon Center led by Elizabeth Hamilton of Holy Cow Consulting Company, the consulting firm the Vestry has retained to assist the Rector Search Committee and to facilitate planning during this Interim period and beyond. We emerged from the retreat with a comprehensive Purpose Plan to guide the community over the next two to three years.
Much of our work referenced the Holy Cow Congregational Survey, which you completed in March. This survey was completed by 265 respondents or 85% of Trinity’s average Sunday attendance (an extraordinary turnout, our consultant tells us) and provides a deep dive into how Trinity sees itself, reflects on the health of our community, and identifies the priorities, challenges, and opportunities that will shape Trinity’s future in the search for the next rector.
The Rector Search Committee would now like to share this information with the entire Trinity community and invites you to join them for a Q&A in the School Library this Sunday, October 18, immediately following the 10:30 service.
To prepare for this Q&A, you should take 40 minutes to watch this video in which our consultant explains and interprets the data the survey revealed. I promise you that it is insightful and very interesting.
Please watch the presentation before attending; the video will not be shown during the Q&A.
At the session, the Committee will take questions and provide the current status of the search process.
The Vestry emerged from their retreat energized and eager to engage the work of shaping the future of this beloved community. You are an important part of that future.
Understanding who Trinity is today and how Trinity can embrace that future powered by the Holy Spirit will better equip you to play your important role in shaping that future. So please join the Rector Search Committee and me this Sunday to learn more.
God’s most abundant blessings to you and all the ones you love,
Lex
