Most of us were baptized by someone else’s choice. Parents and godparents made promises on our behalf. Water was poured, prayers were said, and a community welcomed us before we could say a word.

Confirmation is the moment when we say that word ourselves.
In the Episcopal Church, confirmation is a mature, public affirmation of the faith we were given at baptism. It is not a graduation, and it is not a test. It is a chance to stand before God and your church community and say, “This is mine now. I choose it.” The bishop lays hands on you and prays for the Holy Spirit to strengthen you for the road ahead.
It is a beautiful moment, and it belongs to you.
At Trinity, we prepare for that moment with honesty and curiosity. Our high school program, Confirm Not Conform, invites teens to ask hard questions, wrestle with scripture, and discover what they actually believe rather than what they think they are supposed to believe. Our adult track, Explore Episcopal, offers the same freedom to those who were never confirmed, who are coming to the Episcopal Church from another tradition, or who simply want to say yes again after a long time away.
No prior knowledge is required. Doubts are welcome. So are questions you have carried for years.
