While it may be hard to think about the start of school in the midst of this hot summer, just a few weeks ago, we were doing exactly that. Thanks to the generosity of Trinity’s parishioners and the work of the Mission Commission, we were able to provide backpacks for all Trinity Educational Enrichment Program (TEEP) students, as well as an additional 25 backpacks for Jesus Project Ministries.
Our own Kriste Buck was instrumental in coordinating the ordering and organizing the “backpack store” we set up in the undercroft. Each TEEP student came through the store and filled a backpack with needed school supplies—and even a few fun extras.
These backpacks will go a long way toward supporting not only the students but also their families. As always, Trinity stepped up to help those in need, and we are deeply grateful!
