Every Sunday after the 10:30 a.m. service, you’ll find the new Neighbors in Need Bag Station in Bishops Hall—and a built-in excuse to meet someone new.
Come for the coffee. Stay for the community. Leave having made a bag and a friend.
It’s a simple, hands-on way to love the neighbors we see every day at street corners and intersections throughout New Orleans.
Stop by the station, decorate a bag with a kind message or colorful design, and fill it with food, water, and snacks. Then take the completed bag with you and give it to a neighbor in need in our community.
But the station is designed to be more than just a place to pack bags. It’s a gathering spot. A conversation starter. A place to introduce yourself to the person standing next to you while you tuck in a granola bar and a bottle of water.
