Loaves and Fishes Africa is Trinity’s partner ministry in Nairobi, Kenya. Moses and Esther Moguro, who spent time in New Orleans and at Trinity after Hurricane Katrina, were inspired by the love and connections they experienced here.
Out of that experience, they dreamed of ways to serve their own community in the Nairobi slums—providing clean water, meals, and educational support to children in need.
From Pastor Moses:
“In the last five months, through God’s grace, we have restarted a reverse osmosis water filtration system at Utawala Christian School, providing clean, safe drinking water for 342 children. These students now have access to clean water during the school day for a cost of $600.
We have also supported the purchase and construction of a large canvas tent roof with capacity for over 120 children. This space now serves as a place for open debate, class discussions, and daily lunches.
At present, our greatest need is tuition support for children who have no resources at home. Tuition for one year is about $300.”
