Breakfast Formation Series: Joy: Recovering the Meaning and Mystery of the Whole Christian Story (December 13)
We’ll close this year’s Breakfast Formation series by exploring the joy, meaning, and mystery of the whole Christian story. Inspired by Madeleine L’Engle’s The Glorious Impossible, we’ll slow down and sit with the Visitation, the Annunciation, and the Nativity—stories many of us have heard so often that we may no longer truly hear them—and rediscover the joy within them.
On the Third Sunday of Advent, traditionally known as the Sunday of Joy, we’ll close by standing together in one large circle and lighting pink candles from person to person until the whole room glows. Everyone will take a candle home.
Breakfast is provided, and all are welcome.
The Breakfast Formation Series is a monthly Sunday gathering where people of all ages and stages of faith come together over breakfast to explore, reflect, and grow. Each gathering offers a welcoming, accessible way to deepen our faith and our relationships with one another. This season’s dates are August 30, October 18, November 15, and December 13.
